What is Continuing Competence Portfolio?
The CCP is a customizable learning landscape that can be used to identify and support your professional development of nursing
skills and continued competence in practice. In order to provide a flexible, personalized tool for reflective practice, the combines
self-assessments, goal identification, learning plans, an e-portfolio, and document storage. The range of available features allows
you to engage in professional development and reflective practice, and to maintain an organized system of documentation of your
achievements. The is an engaging and useful tool which places you at the center of your professional learning and development.

What is the purpose of Continuing Competence Portfolio?
The Continuing Competence Portfolio provides an electronic repository for files that can be uploaded and downloaded at your convenience.
Your offers a journal in which to record professional learning and practice goals, and can link to the files in your repository,
creating a useful platform for reflection and evaluation.

Who owns Continuing Competence Portfolio?
The Continuing Competence Portfolio (CCP) is owned by JADE Learning. It is being developed as the result of collaboration between JADE
Learning and the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA).

Can I use Continuing Competence Portfolio in my school or where I work?
Yes, access is internet based so if you have an internet connection you can access . Browsers tested include Internet Explorer,
Firefox, and Netscape Navigator.

Accounts
How do I create a new account?
To create a new account click the ‘Register’ link in the ‘Log On’ Box. A valid email address must be specified, as a special
registration activation link will be sent to it.

How do I delete my account?
Access is based on renewal periods. To end your registration with Continuing Competence Portfolio, simply do not renew your account. To have your account
deleted, contact us at: CCPadmin@jadelearning.com.

Customize
Can I customize my Continuing Competence Portfolio e-portfolio?
Yes, you can click on the ‘Templates’ link in the menu and select from various layout designs.

Digital Repository
Why is the system not letting me upload a file?
Maximum file upload size is 5 Mb (5,000 Kb). The system will not allow a file larger than that size. You can try to save a file in a
different format and that can help reduce the file size. Alternately, make sure you are not exceeding your allowed file storage size.

How many folders can I create?
You can make as many folders to organize as your files as you would like. This is done so you can mimic the way you may already
have your files stored on your computer.

How do I delete an item in my file repository?
Each file and folder you create has an option nearby to delete it.

What are keywords?
A keyword field is provided with every file upload, folder creation, or learning objective post. These keywords are used in
conjunction with the ‘Search’ box to find any uploaded files or locate folders or learning objectives created.

How secure is the site?
Registration information is sent securely over the internet and login passwords are always encrypted.

Technical Support
Why can I not log in?
If you are sure that you have the correct username and password, check to see if ‘Caps Lock’ is on. Passwords are case-sensitive.
Verify that your account is in good standing, accounts expire on the last day of your renewal period. Make sure that JavaScript is
enabled on your internet browser.
